Tasty Water Adventures is officially a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit. Our organizational mission is to provide adaptive fly fishing services and education to those individuals living with a disability.

A Brief History

Tasty Water Adventures started in 2017 when Mike Abbott of Burlington, Vermont was hit hard by a close fly fishing friend’s life-altering injury that  left them with little to no access to the water.  This lack of access made it apparent that there was an opportunity to provide individuals with disabilities with a unique experience. With this information, a background in special education and a love for the outdoors, he put together the foundations that came to form the Tasty Waters mission and vision.
